Heima Paper Stories

To this day, Heima occupies a warm, fuzzy, happy spot in my heart. I still clearly remember four years ago, when Heima introduced an incredibly new yet beautiful concept right in the heart of Cubao X. I was lucky to witness them grow from a small shop into a full lifestyle concept. Soon after leaving the corporate world, Heima became one of my go-to places for pretty things, feel-good inspiration, and cool people to hang out (and even collaborate) with.

Last weekend, on October 18, I got to be part of the first run of Heima's Paper Stories Bazaar, an intimate gathering of artists and crafters, hosted by Paper Club, Heima's specialty range of paper goods, books, and stationery. From Heima: "Paper Stories is a gathering of friends of Heima’s Paper Club line. It is a small independent market for art, crafts and design that we organize to celebrate our love for paper and much more. It serves as a venue for us to discover and connect with each other as well as to help promote emerging brands."

I was so happy with the timing because I was fresh from my first bazaar experience at the BGC Art Mart just a couple weeks earlier. I just had to say yes!

The crowd wasn't as thick compared to the one at BGC, so I was able to go around, take photos, and chat with the rest of the sellers! There were seven of us who set up at this event. To those I met for the first time, it was really nice chatting with you!

Here’s a video showing what went on that day, including my watercolor demo. Enjoy!
